Election Results Are In!

As the current president of CTARS for the next few weeks or so...it is with great pleasure that I introduce the new CTARS board of directors:

Taking over as president, Jeff Myjak - Hans1976
Taking over as Vice President, Jas Roman - PL Reef
Staying on as Treasurer, Tom Hynes -Thhynes
Staying on as Secretary, Dave Huther - Shark Bait 100

Looks like we have another solid team for the future.

Thank you to all that voted.

Congrats to the winners and thank you to Rich Bouvier and Tom Stange for many years of hard work and dedication to the cause...am I allowed to thank myself?

Yes its True we HAVE NO MONEY!

Why?

Cause I am the treasurer and I say so...

No but really folks, I look forward to over seeing the clubs funds to be put to good use for all of us involved with CTARS

And thank you all who have once again put their trust in me to hold such a VALUABLE postion on the Board of Directors....

I will serve this year keeping in mind the values that we as a club hold so dear

Any questions please feel free to email the president, he will be answering all of my questions...hehehe Just kidding Jeff.....

Congrats to Jeff and that other guy.

My sister has 200 of those things in her basement, I'll donate them to the club raffle for a couple frags.

Thank you to Rich and Tom for your service. People don't realize how much work and dedication it can take to fulfill the tasks associated with a voluntary position, and even though it is a hobby, and may be something these men enjoy, it's definitely not easy. Both have our fondest thanks and appreciation.

Thank you all. I am looking forward to this coming year. One of my goals will be to find homes in the Connecticut area for 75 Beagles. Oh wait, that is my other volunteer job.

We have a lot of ideas, and are looking for more. There is an organization that goes out off Rhode Island in the fall, collecting fish that get caught up in the Gulf Stream - great opportunity for our members. Maybe put together a car pool up to Boston to see Charlie Veron and The New England Aquarium. We are looking at going to Atlantis again this summer (possibly with the Boston and Manhattan clubs), we have a couple of speakers in the works, some DIY workshops and who knows what else.

As Jas said early on, this is your club. Let us know what you want. But also know where you would like to help out. Maybe you have a skill that you think others might benefit from. Or your willing to hang flyer's at your local vets and stores telling folks about our club and upcoming meetings.

Thanks to Rich and Tom for all you have done.

I voted for jas because the whole cameras and candy on the bed post reallly tore at my heart strings, and i thought wow this is what we need, a kind sensitive romantic for vice president...

Congrats to the two new and two returning board members. It'll be a rocky year with Jeff at the helm, but I'm sure the club will survive....

Just kidding! Jeff, you're awesome and I'm sure the club will be fantastic! Maybe some day I'll be back to a meeting some time.
