WTB - Flatworm Eating Wrasse/fish

As the title says.

I have tried a couple different 6 line wrasses over the last year or so and I have had no luck with them eating my flatworms. Does anyone out there have a proven flatworm eater that they no longer need. Beside the flatworms my tank is all good so no one has to worry about there fish going into careless hands.

Thanks!

Nothing is certain. I have a Yellow Coris and he keeps all of the visable red flatworms out of my display.

arrow crab.
I know, I know. Its not a fish.
I've been through most wrasses when I had flatworms. A melanaris wrasse helped the most out of wrasses. The arrow crab smoked the wrasse.

Really! Arrow crabs. Do they do anything detrimental to the reef?
Is that a commonality among Arrow crabs?

I am willing to buy proven eaters of flat worms from existing tanks.

Have you tried the flashlight trick? I heard about it after I had my issues. Sounds like that could make a pretty big impact on them...

The only issue would be smaller fish and shrimp. These guys as good hunters. I've heard it from many, so I picked one up at an lfs. Sure enough, FW eating machine.

reefkeeper,
My fish load is niger trigger, 2" sixline, 4" blue tank, and fat yellow tang. Would those be okay?

So they eat all decrotive shrimp? How about crabs?

Canar, no I haven't tried flashlight trick. Can you please educate me?

Do you have shrimp? If the niger hasn't eaten them, he should be alright with the arrow crab. My 1st one years ago was a pain, last one I had, not so much.. Other crabs stand a better chance then a shrimp. IMO.

Have you heard of arrow crabs eating corals or clams?

Still curious what the flashlight trick is.

Man i am sooooooo sick of these darn things. I can't wait until one day my tank is free of them.

I have had arrows in my reef before with no problems at all. They have been model citizens, and people love seeing them in the tank

my arrow crab killed 3 hermits in one hour. what really made me angry was he only ate half before he went on to kill another. i hate it when good food is wasted

Hmmmmm......

I have heard some extremely mixed reviews about these guys. I guess I could take hermits getting waxed if my flatworm problem finally subsided.

I used to take care of a mobile invert tank at my last university and the arrow crab we had was the meanest, most visious thing. It would catch and eat anything it got its claws on, and it was fed several times weekly, just to keep it from destroying the tank. But I can't imagine that they are all like that. I think we just got a really hungry, mean crab. We drew the short straw I guess with that one

There are damsels, I think they are called springer's. They are not the agresive type. They almost look like a velvet damsel but a little different. neon blue. I have 6 in my tank and they ate every single flatworm. They are hard to come by, but thats what worked for me.

No kidding. Thanks for that info regarding the damsels. Did they all seem to like the flatworms?
