Soo...how was the meeting ?

I managed to stop in for about 1/2 an hour....just as Mr Paletta was starting up his presentation. Not much opportunity to meet and greet at that point, but I was the jerk who had to get up and leave about half hour into Mike's talk....

I would have liked to stay....great information..( I jotted a few things down).....guess I'll have to buy his book !

was a really great meeting. makes you really think "wow, i really don't know what i'm doing" when someone shows you those tanks he was talking about.

the sponsors gave out great prizes at the raffle, big grats to those who won!!

I had a really good time. Awesome lecture and really nice raffle items. It was great having vendors (Joy from PFO) to demonstrate equipment and Jon's and his team's setup in the classroom (including greenhouse) has even gotten better from the last meeting. Wish I could have hung around for a couple brewskis with Jas, John and whomever else got to go. I'm going to have to start telling the wife that meetings don't end till 8ish.

On a side note, I'm terrible at remembering names, but thanks to the guy that donated his orange plate coral to the raffle. That's an awesome piece.

We can't tell you anymore about the meeting, because you weren't there..

It's alot of secret society stuff....a bunch of strange handshakes...go watch the movie "Skulls" to learn more..

I will tell you this...AFTER the meeting we did have one genius mess with the waitress...you know who you are!

Everything was EXCELLENT!

from the speaker...

to the raffle...

to Jon's classroom

I learned a lot from Mister Paletta, I purchased some nice frags from Jon's tanks and I won A LOT in the Raffle (but everything I won I'm donating to my local school where I started/volunteer for "aquariums in the classroom" so guys, don't hate me so much for winning so much )

Ahhh, that was you winning all those goodies. That's cool, CTARs raffles are kinda like a casino. We let you win to hook you. Before you know it all your hard earned money will be spent in raffle tickets. I believe the treasurer has a form you can fill out for automatic deposit into the club account.
