Dremels for coral fragging

Hand saws are old school, I want a Dremel now. I know other reefers out there use them for fragging corals, I've only used one on a snowboard.
So can someone point me in the right direction on which one I'd be interested in? I'm looking at Amazon, or another website to order from, as I'm going to use this towards my "What I need for Christmas" because I just don't want much this year. Might as well get something handy .

So if you have any information you can give me, or even just a model..

great tool. I got mine as a 100+ piece kit at the local Big Box home store. It had a rebate at the time. Being that it is Christmas, I am sure that specials will be available. I use the cut off wheels for my sps and lps all the time. There are other cutting options in the kit I got. Plus I have used it a ton with some recent remopdeling projects.

With a dremmel ,a tile saw for heaviier pieces and some snips you are set to do really nice work. Oh yes a razorblade and sciissors help too. The toll I use most often is the dremmel with the cut off wheels or tile bits.

Be sure to get the cable attachment. It's a 3ft cable with a chuckat the end. This allows you to cut stuff without having the motor close enough to be ruined by spray.

I'm thinking going with a cordless one. Found this one on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-8000-02...5363676&sr=8-9

I'll be getting the diamond cutting wheel as well. We've got the tile saw, and other things as well, just no Dremel yet. Tools are always handy, we seem to have a lot of them.

Is this the attachment you were speaking of tmz?
http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-225-Fle.../dp/B0000302Y8

Thanks everyone!

I got a cordless Dremel brand dremel from Wal Mart for $20 and diamond cut off wheels from ebay for $10 and it works great. When I do acans I score the back with the dremel and cut the flesh with a hobby knife. Only thing I dont like about the cordless is the battery life but I dont do much fragging so it works for me.

Yes. I blew out the motor on my first dremel. It doesn't take much salt spray into the vents to do that.

I've used the Sears Craftsman version for years--holds up well and I think it may be less expensive as well.

Thanks everyone. I will be sticking to something by Dremel as if it is a gift, I might as well get the more expensive one . I put the Multipro (which comes with the flex shaft in a kit) and the Cordless one I listed above in an email for them to decide on. I like them both, it's such a tough decision.

BTW the diamond wheel cuts like butter. For rough or deeper backside work you can cut with a regaular metal cutting wheel

Would you guys say that a good dremel with the right cutting wheels is all your really need for fragging coral? Even LPS like acans?

No,I use the dremmel 75% of the time and think it's great and needed but it doesn't cut deeply enough on thicker pieces where a tile saw is needed.
