I bought a AC Jr., best I $300.00 spent on my tank.

No more worries with the temp. of if the timers are working for the lights. The thing is great, and know they come in Black and Blue which is very cool.

My only complaint is the mounting, double-stick tape pretty much sucks. I'm pretty happy that's the worst of it though.

industrial grade square lock velcro works wonders, but i too agree that the mounting system is a bit underdeveloped.

I have one of those shower hangers, like you would put soap and shampoo into, hanging on the wall, holding my Jr.

Thumbs up

I really like my AC Jr. Easy to use, and connects to pc with serial cable, which allows it use AquaNotes software, which works well.

You can monitor/control your tank parameters over the internet--it displays your params over time with a graph. It can also be setup to send alarm notifications via email, pager, txt msg, or shell command, if there is a problem.

Only thing I don't have with the AC Jr. is that it controls only one pH probe. But the ACIII supports 2 of them. I have one for the Ca Reactor, and one for the tank (to control Kalk addition via Nilsen Reactor).

I really recommend Neptune Systems controllers. www.neptunesys.com

LMAO!! Must be a Woman.

I have an ACJR and it's the best money I ever spent on the tank. I solved the velcro problem by flush mounting mine into the cabinet.

Are they really that great? I heard you need to know a programming language to use it. Also, it looks too big. How big is the jr?

programming on the device (without computer) is actually really easy...I agree, it is a wise choice for making things easier and redundant (temp backup etc) for my tank.

as i found out today don't count on it to control anything related to temp. the temp probes fail constantly. Mine is only 6 months old and already went out. thank god i was home or my whole tank would have been lost.
