Maxima Help

I just got a maxima 4 days ago and it looked good at the store but seemed to exhibit slight gaping when i brought it home. Today he looks worse than ever but he seemed to be getting better the last few days.

Params
Nitrate >5
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Cal 430
Alk 10
Ph 8.2

I have a deresa and a crocea that have been with me for 9 months and are doing awesome with great growth.

What do you think is wrong pyramid snails, parasite, predators????

Please help
Thanks

what do you mean by gaping? SO many people misdiagnose this symptom.

sorry but i dont have the software to resize my pics but its too late anyways the clam was completely unresponsive and the scavengers were taking to it

Since i cant figure out how to post pics i will describe as best i can. The mantle was retracted inside the shell with the inhalant siphons edges looking wrinkled and frilly. Sorry Im somewhat of a newb with clams

Tank inhabitants
Pair of GSM clowns
Mandarin
Blue jaw trigger

If the clam was harassed i am suspecting the blue jaw but hes been perfectly fine with my other clams...

posting pics is pretty easy. go here http://www.imageshack.us/ set up an account, upload your photos, pick the one you want to post, highlight the line that says "hot links for forums", copy it then come back to the forum and past it. you can also automatically resize the photos when you upload them by clicking a little box that says "resize"
