Need water expert

Wondering if it is safe to drink water from RO/DI unit? Trying to cut back buying water from walmart.

you can, just make sure don't drink ONLY RO/DI the whole day ...as long as you drink something else such as soda or so, u'll be fine.

What do you mean? I dont drink soda really, I drink lot of water about a gal a day.

As long as your mineral intake is sufficient your ok. I would drink the ro and skip the di for drinking. I aslo drink over a gallon a day and that drinking much di water will make it hard to replace the minerals you need

The waste water coming out of the membrane is basicly water filtered better then most refigerater filter or tap water filters. The first two stages of you RO unit and the same as most drinking water filters except much largeer, with more surface area, more carbon and finer partical filtration. Very drinkable.

Yes, it is safe to drink the water from your unit. I recommend drinking the water from after the RO stage. Many units come with tanks for storing the RO water for easy access. You could even drink the waste water, which is at least no worse than drinking tap water. Frankly, there's nothing wrong with tap water for human consumption. That's what it's meant for!

I would drink the tap water it's much cheeper then you will have more money to spend on your reef
