Saner Ozonizer

Can anyone answer some quetions about this unit? I also am curious about a few thinks about running ozone. I had a red sea unit controller in cluded. I had an air pump on t that ran 24-7. It seemed to cause my skimmer to not work properly. Should the air pump have been on a controler also?
Does the sander unit need an airpump?

thanks

It doesn't require an air pump if you connect it to the venturi of your skimmer but I wouls suggest using a small one. I've been using a very small $8 air pump with my Sanders for a couple of years and it works great.

using one right now... works really well. Just a regular small air pump like twisted said.

Yes it needs the pump and you should put a T in the airling coming into your skimmer.

If you are running a lot of ozone in your skimmer [50+ mg/hr] it will hurt the skimmer performance. Some skimmers this effects more than others. Make sure you have carbon place on the skimmer's output also.

here is a good article on ozone.

Nice skimmer!

This is what i was talking about...

I know bubbleking sells these "T" for their skimmers or you can DIY like the one pictured. Maybe PM Klaus Jansen since he makes these skimmer and he can help you get this T.
