95th and Olive. I guess we're nearly neighbors!!

I'm new to fish keeping in general. I had a 40g freshwater tank a few years back. Looking forward to trying a SW reef tank.

Dude, gonna have to hook up and check out ya newbie tank. See what ya got going on help ya fix some mistakes before you make them. you can read until ya eyes fall out and listen to anyone you want but you always make mistakes when you first start out.....hell people doing it for 20 years still make mistakes. I gots me some good starter frags for ya when your up and running. Best of lusk to ya

i live at 75ave and glendale ... got free xinia for ya lol ...

Make sure you buy a tank with a over flow if you buy a bigger tank then a nano..

Overflow with a sump
That was my frist hard lesson in reefing .... it can be done with out ... but man it not worth it to me ...... i got 2 to3 deges of temp loss just runing a sump.... and i can hind all my mess under the cabnet lol

So what size of tank are you starting with?, Is it fish only or are you building a reef?

I recomend that you impose on a couple of us and stop by to see a setup up and running, it helped me quite a bit to be able to ask why this & how that.

My tanks (JBJ 12 and JBJ 24) are both at work. Both are going to be set as reef tanks.

I'd love to come by and see what you've got going. I'm trying to convince my wife to adding a tank at home and I'd love to see how you have them set up.

I've had the 24 up for about a month now. It's cycled and I've got a few goodies in it.

1 Banded Coral Shrimp
1 Peppermint Shrimp
2 clown gobies (really small about 2" if put end to end)
CUC
1 Toadstool mushroom

I'd like to add more coral so I'd love any frags you can spare!!

The 12 I'm just adding water to today.

There's one other guy here who is also trying a reef tank. He's got a new Red Sea Max. We're both going to try and make the Dec 2 meeting (if it's still on).
