Powder brown tang

Hi all, I just bought a powder brown for my 75 gallon tank. He is about 3 inches and is doing very well. Has all of his color, swimming around, not shy at all. He is eating very well, but he is only interested in the mysis shrimp. I have tried formula one and two but he just doesn't go for it. I whant to give him a well ballanced diet. He is grazing on the rocks and glass for micro algae. I have only had him for 2 days. Should I be concerned?
He is teh nly one in the tank as of right now. He will soon be sharing his home with a pair of gold striped maroon clowns, and a coral beauty. Any other fish suggestions?

You should get some Nori and attach it to a clip. They need the algae in their diet.

Nori will help my powder brown loves it. make sure you keep an eye on him and watch for signs of stress. Many people will tell you that a 75 is way to small for a Powder Brown. He may eventually need a larger home.

Also he is eating spectrum so now I can leav for 5 days and get an automatic feeder for him when I am gone for 3 to 5 days.

please don't ignore the suggestions of nori. it's the most healthy diet item for tangs, and will go a long way to keeping your tang strong. I don't know this for a fact, but I'd suspect that the vegetable matter of form. 1&2 is not equivalent to straight up nori.

YOu can go to an Asian market and get nori for cheap. I got 2 100 sheet packs for 17 dollars. I have had it for 2 months and i have only used a sheet and a half with a small yellow tang(3 inches) and very small hippo tang(1 inch) in my 55(I already have a 120 waiting to be set up).

The powder Brown should have been added last. Once he is established he will bully the other fish, I have seen it first hand in my previous 180 gallon. He was very docile to start. he was added towards the end of my stocking. Once he got a little bigger and established, I had to remove him because he was tormenting everyone. Good Luck with yours, they are a beautiful fish.

Another thing I've started doing for mine is taking the seaweed select and cutting it into very small peices and soaking it first with a little selcon. He and my other fish love it.
