New basement sump and frag tank.

I am in the process of plumbing & building a basement sump and prop tank. My original plan was to cycle live rock in it before plumbing it to my main tank. But now I am wondering... Do I need live rock in the sump and prop tanks? It will be connected to my main tank which has a large amount of live rock in it. My main tank is a 150g the sump and prop tank volume will hold 270g. Is more live rock necessary?

I wouldn't think so. To me, it's just more detritus to clean up I keep about 1/2 a pound per gallon in my system.

Nope. You don't need more live rock. You may need to upsize some other things though.
