ATI BM 160 is a good choice for under $500.

Im getting a refurbished and modified BM160 from ED at KM'intl for only $413! Thats a knockout price. ITs been running in his tank for about 2 weeks so when I get it, I skip the break-in period. You should really check it out as I know he has a couple of more refurbished ones for sale.

A DAS EX-2 is kind of big for a 70G. Do you plan up upgrading to a larger tank soon? If you want a DAS, the EX-1 would be fine.

Exactly my thoughts. Why would you all suggest the BM's 160's and what not when were talkin a 70g tank. The Das EX1 will be more than enough. If he wanted to go cheap he could get a octo 150 or 200 for less than 200 bux. JMT

luke, everyones got there own opinions. for consistent bubble size, ease of maintenance, or no frill adjustment, along with ozone hook up. everyone should do there own homework.

well i have run my ex-2 on a 30gal tank with no problems and now my 90gal.

There really isn't much difference between 70 and 90gals. Also we don't know what the total system size he is setting up....
