how to introduce SFE to Picasso's tank
I have a tank with only 1 fish in it, a 2.5" picasso trigger
last night after dark I tried to introduce a few mollies that I acclimated to salt to tackle some algae.......well, that last literally 15 seconds and he had killed one of them (moved the other to my other tank) anyways, when the time comes to get my eel, Im wondering how to introduce him to the tank without having him be killed right away should I remove the picasso for a little while while (like a few hours) the eel settles in and then put him back in? |

put him in at night right after a feeding and place the eel directly into the rocks with the net this should reduce conflict

The picasso sees the mollies as food. He won't view the eel in the same light. A 240(correct?) gal is huge and more then large enough for both fish to get along.

well I introduced the tiny (smaller than a pencil in length) today and all was well
I just fed the picasso like normal, waited about 10 minutes, turned the lights off, and added the SFE and left the lights off for the rest of the evening the SFE went straight into the rocks instead of swimming up to the trigger (like the mollies did), so i think all will be well we'll see what happens during feeding time I guess |
