remove hard algae from crazy tall tank help!!!
Hi all
I'm tired of the conventional Kent scrapper to clean the hard algae out of a 4 feet tall 1 1/2" thick acrylic aquarium. Is there any advise or suggestion???. I know the magfloat have a huge one for that thick acrylic but it kinda cost over $200 so I'm still deciding. If anyone have such a similar tank and have better way of scrapping out those coraline algae please let me know. Thank You so much in advance!!!

I once glued a razor blade on a mag float and ran it around to scrap it off...worked really good but you have to keep it out of the tank when not in use so it doesn't rust.

Sorry no it was for glass. I would not use it on acrylic. Maybe someone with acrylic will chime in.

i would just stand in it ans scrape it clean...i know it would a lot easier for me with this tall of a tank!
a boatload of urchins would help also... put that together with climbing in the tank to clean...and you got one 'sharp' party going on!!!

Expensive, but I am sure a 4 1/2' tank is as well. |

Wouldn't the urchins scratch your acrylic tank? What do you guys think about using ozone?
