I havent ever seen any. I found all kinds of places that were selling it for $25 - $40. If you get some it would be a good item for the swap next year.

Last one I swear... I just had to look. I passed on this stuff so many times I just can't believe it is the new "IT" coral... Wish I could predict what will be next...

I just ran across this coral. It might make a sweet frag trading coral.

Yes, there are 17 different genius of Cespitularia. And 3 different Efflatounaria (which look like Cesp. but dont glitter)
I am looking for the S. African Cesp.

True Blue Xenia (cespitularia) is difficult to find and usually goes for at least $50.00 for a 1/2 inch. There are many online vendors that sell blue anthelia as "blue xenia". cespitularia is difficult to find because it does not ship well and does not reproduce very rapidly. I have had my small colony for over two years now and it only splits about twice a year on its own. All other frags I have acquired were by fragmentation.

I am at work, but can post a pic later. It is the blue glittering kind- not pom pom or waving hand.

This is the mother frag. It was in my buddies tank and looks different under my lighting. Still nice though.

Talked to the guy at coral dynamics. He said he will have some in a couple weeks. He said his the bottom of it is blue so it gives an on again off again look. His is $15 a frag.

Ok, now that is sweet looking. The stuff I used to see wholesale was nothing like that.

Haven't tried the flashlight trick. Here are the pics with my horrible camera and dirty tank. It is supposedly the strain from Drs. Foster and smith. The problem with the divers den pics is the fingers are all closed, the background is black, and they use 20k bulbs. I have them under 14k currently. This is one of my colonies.

It is important to note that like all corals the colors slightly change depending on the lighting. In my tank the tips turned a darker color and the base stayed the bright blue glitter color. I also keep them at the bottom of the tank so they are getting larger branches as they try to move up. I keep them away from all my main rock.

Feedback always welcome.
