Closed Loop Pump Suggestions 55g

I'm looking to put a closed loop into my 55g main tank. It will be siphon fed over the top and will feed into a OceansMotions Squirt. I'm looking for something that runs in the 700-900 GPH range. Additionally I would like the pump as quiet as possible, does anyone have any suggestions on pumps that they have used?

I have my eye on a Quiet One 3000 as I've had good luck with a 1200 model. Also looking at a Poseidon PS3.

Thanks for your comments.

get a dart pump it can be throttled back if need be but it will also give the option of alot of flow. I have a dart returning on my 210 and a super dart as my closed loop. both very quiet. At first the dart had a bearing noise I called reeflow about it they sent me a new pump in 3 days, I just had to send the other back.

If you lookin' for something that is not very expensive, then I would go with the Quiet One. I have one for my return and it does an awesome job. It should be plenty of flow for a 55g.

Ocean Runner 2500 or 3500. Very energy efficient, quiet and economical to buy.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I definitely gave the Sequence pumps a look, however they are just waaaayyyy more than what I need for my application. When I eventually settle down and buy a house I'm sure I'll be running the Dart series.

The Ocean Runner seems to be a good choice too.

I haven't looked at the Blue Line where can you buy them online at? I've checked several locals and haven't been able to find them.

Anyone had any experiences with the Poseidon pumps?

Blue Line and Pan World are the same thing.
Saltycritter has Blue Line i think.
I know Marinedepot has Pan World.

You will be wanting the Pan World 50PX-X.
The Blue line model has different name but same specs and price.

I had the QO 4000 as an external pump for my closed loop and I highly recommend you not waste your money. IME it worked fine for the first 6 months but after that it would just stop and not restart I think because it ran so hot running externally. I replaced it with a Pan World 50PX-X and am very happy with it.

The Pan World pumps seem like a pretty good deal. Are they capable of being throttled back with a ball valve or some other method? I was possibly looking at the 100PX-X model maybe just the 50PX-X. Just curious though.
