How to frag lps

Hello, I'm new to this board

I have a large assy favia colony i want to frag cause its too big for my tank. Any ideas how to frag without killing it? I'm planning on keeping half of it and frag the rest.

dremmel away the back of the colony, until you can cut through the flesh, try to cut between polyps (obviously)
Alittle more precise than chisel
Get a diamond blade dremmel bit, trust me

Can i cut through a polyp half way. I get half polyps that turn to whole polyps in frags. Or is that too risky?
