nice new toys!! Cant wait to see you get all of that setup. The Getronics looks interesting! I like that it could never fail. Are you replacing your chiller with it or adding to it as a backup? How much was it if you dont mind me asking?

Thought I'd get some more updates before I crash. I'll get to the other questions tomorrow!

I actually got this a couple weeks ago. It is a SS stand for my controller. I tried to mount it in a specially routered hole in the door but it wasn't working. So I got this stand, and will be getting some nice cable covering after I figure out how many cords I have (still adding)

This is a new controller from Profilux. I'd bet they sell a million of these things. It'll be about $270 and is not only a mini-controller, but it controls Tunzes and allows them to make waves. It also dims the Profilux dimmable T5 ballasts. And other features of most controllers (lights, temp controls, ph, etc). Not alot of plugs but does some really cool stuff for such a basic, inexpensive controller. There are lots of wave videos pix on RC that people have gotten their Profilux controllers. I bought it because I was frustrated with my Vortechs and didn't know when the controllers would come out, or if they'd make waves/surges. So now I have a couple options. There is more info on the Profilux forum, or Aquarium Specialty could probably answer questions

This is the 2x54W dimmable ballast

And here's my favorite new toy - the Grotech Photon 2x400W (IC e-ballast) + 6x54W T5!!! I got it hung today and will try to get pictures. Its AWESOME. Bulbs are Aquaconnect 14K's - which according to Sanjay's test will put out mad light. The T5's are a combination of KZ, and Aquascience bulbs. I will get pix of them running soon. The pendant is VERY wide, and the spread is great. My Sfiligoi was great once I got the new ballast fuse box. But I was able to pick this up from Proline, its actually a MACNA display and had like zilcho usage on it. The bulbs are all practically new. Finally I'm on the winning end of an equipment deal. But to be honest, I would have paid full price. This fixture is awesome.

Next to it is an Aquamedic Sunlight NG - which is a great light also. 2x250W + 4x54W, I special ordered it last year for a different tank. Great light also. Which means I have a couple high end pendants for sale soon ....

I gotta hit the sack. I'm still waiting of a few things. And I can't hook everything up until I get the replacement sump. My wife is about to ring my neck since she's having a baby shower and the front room still looks like the lab of a mad scientist.

Sweet controller and light fixture...I didn't know they were making a mini. I can't wait to see your updated pics. It wa a little bumpy for you for a bit but things are looking up....at least on the equipment side.

What are the dimensions of the fixture? In the picture it looks longer than the NG.

Hey David, you are a madman! My Elos 120xl should be here next week and I am now thinking about the planet elos in a 2x250+4 t-5 configuration. I asked Jesse to get a black one as I don't really like the greenish color. Anyways, how did you like the Planet Elos on your 120xl?

Hi Maximus, I have the planet lighting and like it very much it's sleek and the design is awesome for heat transfer. The light that Dave has is awesome too!. I saw those a long time ago and really wanted one.

Dang Fliger!!!

The DEA is going to kick your door down soon wondering what you are growing from the heat signature from all those lights!

Let us know how the Profilux turns out.

Also who sells Grotech Photon?

Hey sorry guys - I've been absolutely swamped. I will update soon. I'm picking up a pair of 6101's soon - I like the VT's but they have their shortcomings on large tanks IMO. I'm going to keep a pair of the along with a pair of 6101's.

Sorry! I hate it when life gets in the way of reefing. But all corals are doing great, just battling cyano - mostly due to some equipment delays/failures.

I wanted 2 of those photon units but it was just way to expensive. You always have the best toys. They were something like $2500 per fixture when I last looked or a little less.I forget Hahn gave me the link of the US dealer. Those units are awesome.
