Crowded fish are grouchy fish.

edwing206,

I've had a Maroon Clown and Rabbit fish in there since last January when I had my tank back separate and I had to empty the tank for repairs. They were the only two that survived.

Unfortunately, when I redid the rockwork, I think I added a predator. I added a pair of helfrichi firefish after a month of quarantine. They were eating great and hanging our in their new spot in the 225 for two days and then completely disappeared.

I don't want to add any more small fish until I catch whatever is in there and I don't want to add another tang until it would be the last fish added.

Thumbs down

Way to go!! hope you have a gallon or two of melafix and maracyn, cause why not nuke all the inhabitants with disease and start over with 17 new ones to kill. You should cruise on over to the RESPONSIBLE REEFKEEPING section here on RC and reevaluate your stocking philosophy.

I have a 180 with 5 fish
1) Longhorn cowfish
2) Occellaris
1) lawnmower
1) Shrimp goby

I lost a hippo to ich, and have the cowfish in quarantine, these are pets man,... not just "cool fish with pretty colors".

Do you have a quarantine system? Or do you just flush and replace?

I dont get upset, I just tell the fool what I think of him and move on. Even threads like this serve a purpose if just one newby reads them and realizes this isn't a cool thing to do.

GEEZ Kahuna! Don't have to single me out like that. Makes me feel cold and prickly inside.

Any wager's how long before BOOM!!! Those damsel's are likely to start off the killing spree, evil little things they are.

Go figure, I have six reasonably small fish in a 50 gallon while I am setting up my 125 and I am feeling guilty. I only plan on adding 1 other after that.
