What kind of lighting setup do you have on there? I had to come back and admire again.

Thank you all for the kind words.
Lighting is 2-250w Radiums on HQI ballast in Lumenarcs & 2-110w Actinic. Keep in mind the tank is only 12" deep. I have to have a big chiller.........

The tank is 60 gal, 4'x2'x12" high and is barebottom. 29 gal tank used as the sump. Lighting is as mentioned above, 2-250w radiums in Lumenarcs and Actinic supplementation.
Skimmer is a Deltec AP600, Phos Reactor running Carbon and GFO, a MRC Ca Reactor, and a 1/4 HP chiller. Flow is provided by 2-Korlalia 4's on the back pointed at bottom of tank, 2 6025's, and one 6055 & a 7300 stream on a multicontroller. Ehiem 1262 as the return. I figure around 6000 gph total in the tank. Fish: Kole Tang, Red margined Fairy Wrasse, Flagfin Angel, Possum Wrasse, Lawnmower Blenny, and a foxface. Thats about it, thanks again for the nice comments.

You might try this for the bubble Algae. I had it bad too until I put 6 emerald crabs in my 240. I just pulled the bubble algae out with out worry about them bursting. It took about a month until they have become rare in my tank. I think the emeralds get the emerging bubbles but will not touch the already formed large bubbles. At least i have never seen the emerald crabs attacking the large bubbles. They are mostly nocturnal, so you don't see them during the day.
Nice tank!!!! |

I think the key is to try a number of them. I would put at least 6 in your tank.
I've read that some may not eat the bubbles and some do, so keep trying until you get the ones that work. |
