anemone sting help

so i can back from class this afternoon and noticed that my nem had moved a little bit and was slightly brushing my monti cap. do i need to be concerned? i moved the nem back so it is no longer touching. did the monti cap actually get stung?

WOW. so nobody on this entire forum has ever had a nem sting one of there corals? i find that hard to believe...

Yeah, I'm sure he popped your cap, but if it looks alright then you probably don't have anything to worry about.

I have had my torch wack my mushrooms but they come back fine I just move one or the other

most likely the monti got stung, and you will most likely see some die off in the area it touched, but if your tank is pretty much stable your monti should be able to encrust over the dead spot in no time, if the die off keeps spreading maybe take out the coral and do an iodine dip, that can sometimes stop it, however iodine and its effeciency of sterilizing an area is quite controversial, but i have had it help a little.
