made the switch to metal halide after 6yrs and wanted a sps dominated tank. stlll have a few lps but the shrooms are gone

I grow it so I can use them for calcium reactor media- Im convinced its cheaper than buying the bottles of dead coral, when Im gonna kill it eventually anyhow lol

I like the mish mash of colorful branches and seeing the fish swim around them. Also I love installing new toys... you get to buy more equipment with SPS.. lol

Masochism is a good reason.
Life just doesn't give me enough headaches as it is, sps fills that void no problem!
They sure do look pretty though don't they?
I equate sps to that really REALLY hot high maintenance chick that you just know is gonna take all you have and leave you broken hearted when it's all gone!
But it sure is nice while it lasts!
Why do most beautiful things come w/ such a high price?

I also think it's amazing the way they grow. Like, for no reason we can see they just start shooting a branch out in another direction. JMO

She DID NOT like my nems, or snails, clams, or anything else that looked ...a little....uh...you know!LOL
