90g AGA Megaflow....Plumbing question.

I purchased a 90g AGA megaflow tank. Does anyone know what size hose I would need to fit over the barbs on the bulkheads? It looks like 1" and 1 1/4" but I want to be sure before I order this stuff.
Also, not sure if this is the best idea or not, but I'm going to use flexible vinyl hose from barb to barb and then swithc everything to flexible pvc. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bill

If you are using flex PVC, you are better off swapping out the bulkheads that come with it and buy real bulkheads. Dont even bother with the vinyl hose to connect to the barbs, just throw them out. PVC is much more reliable.

Scroll down to the lightweight bulkheads and get one 1" slip/slip and one 3/4" slip/slip and be done with it.

The heavy duty (Schedule 80) bulkheads do not fit in the holes on AGA tanks so dont bother with them. Ive tried myself.

No problem. Might as well make it look nice and neat if you are going with the Flex PVC anyway. Flex PVC is awesome stuff and is all I use. No worries about the vinyl hose splitting and creating a leak down the road, might as well take it completely out of the equation.

The Megaflow standpipe slides right into the above 1" drain bulkhead so no more mods are neccesary.
