i'm also considering buying one for a small tank... i'm thinking about the tunze "nano reefpack 200", which includes the nano skimmer and nano mechanical filter. would use that for carbon and gfo. i think it also includes a magnet holder. any input appreciated!

ive just ordered the skimmer and mechanical filter pack. for 2 reasons

b: the nano filter also works as a surface skimmer.

ive heard there preety good. and take up very little space. which is nice

I wish i knew. Just bought one for JBJ 24 nano, and it doesn't fit sump area...

EDIT - the skimmer will fit in the sump, but in order for the collection cup to fit correctly, the water level needs to be set higher than I can set it due to my settings on top off equipment.

Hi guys, I have the tunze (9002) for my bio cube and i realy like it.
If yall visit the tunze form you can c the how to ajust it, and the problems we incounterd with the skimmer.
the skimmer is now pulling out green junk "light green tea colors"

You will love the skimmer after u ajust it and let break in

I'll chime in as well...I've got a reefpack 200. I bought it for a nano tank I'm going to set up soon, so in the mean time I've put it to use on my 72g. Overall, I like it. It's not the most amazing skimmer ever, but it does work well and is very easy to adjust. For the cost you just can't beat it. If you buy the reefpack instead of just the skimmer you also get the magnet which I think is a must. If you search around you'll find numerous threads about how hard it is to use the bracket that comes with the skimmer alone...with the magnet it is a piece of cake. Bottom line...performs pretty good, very convenient, easy to adjust, and the best customer service and warranty in the business. Hope that helps.

I'm happy with mine as well. As nu_beta_2016 said it's very easy to set up and it's decently quiet.

I have no experience with the Tunze nano skimmer, but I had one of their comline skimmers on my 180, and it worked extremely well. Very pleased. I agree about the magnet, though - the brackets for the skimmers are hard to set up.

By the way, will the Tunze fit in the back of an Aquapod?
