Julio, I put the Megachromes in the ASL today, and I love them. They are incredibly whiter than the AB's that I had in there. Amazingly. I don't even feel the need for my T5's any longer. I would highly recommend these bulbs. I wanted to try the Aquaconnects but worry they're not bright enough for a 28" high tank.

Later this week I'm adding a 400W 20K behind the Megachromes.

Glad you like them Fliger. Just an FYI, the BLV 10k is real similar in look.

I'm resurrecting an old thread here... but I'm curious what Megachromes were you guys referring too? The 12.5K SE or the 14.5K SE?

I tried the 13 K GM last time and this switch I went with the 14.5 K which I have mixed opinions. Some sps and all clams look nice BUT my large red table looks brown.

This old thread was for the 13k mostly DE's I imagine... Now called the Marine bulb.

12.5 and 13k is the same

14.5k is called Coral

20-22k is called Blue.

Ok. Thanks. I'm looking for information on the SE varieties. Anybody have anything to share regarding the SE lamps?
