I didn't know you took that thing down. WHY? You didn't need a break that bad. LOL..

Well I hope the next tank is even better.

Good looking tank NorthbayReefer! You've got a ton of nice corals in there and the tank water looks very clean, great job!

mgny, Nice! Those are some great colors for a VHO tank. I agree on getting some pics without the flash if possible. The flash always seems to drown out the colors.

Bottom broke. Everything was saved. I finally found the time to take the old tank out and build a new stand and enclosure. New tank arrives this week. I've been thinking about doing something different in regards to layout and creating a certain type of illusion via depth and forced perspective. So I'm going to document the whole process but will not " unveil " it until it is complete. The tank resides in my shop and will even be boarded up on the retail side until the process is complete. I want it to be a surprise for my customers.

IIRC there is about a three month interval between the first two pictures and the rest.

Gorgeous.

I'm sorry to hear the bottom gave out but glad you were able to save the livestock.

Thanks.

It's not the worst thing that ever happened. I often wonder what it would look like now as it has been over a year since it broke.

Most of the corals were given to friends with the stipulation that I get a piece whenever I want.

It was in my shop as a display but it was MY tank. As I'm there so much it made better sense to have one at work as opposed to one at the house.

The replacement will fill that void plus it will allow me to try something I've thought about for some time.

I had so many other projects that I felt were more important that the new display was placed on the back burner.

As a side note, the above aquarium had over sixty fish in it.
