Just stumbled on this post a couple years late.... but its ironic that gas is now over $3.00/gallon!

For months we have been one side or the other of $3 per gallon. $2.56.9 would be a huge bargain! I think my last tank was $3.15 or $3.05. I never even bother to look anymore. I commute 120+ miles per day.
Ooops! Should have checked the date. I knew the Midwest was suppossed to be high for gas, but I couldn't believe the bargains the rest of the country was getting!

Diesel is finally lower than regular again. For a very long time I did a 4+ hour commute (one way) to pick my son up on weekends then take him home again on Sunday night. To say nothing of the wear and tear on my truck. Small consolation that my truck gets 19 MPG.
