My experience has been low to moderate flow with lots of light. I also feed mine 3-4 times a week (brine and cyclopeeze)

I don't target feed mine at all. They get food left over after feeding the fish - and fish waste. I have two chalices up high under 150 mh 10k. They look the most colorful. Of course they did when I bought them too. The rest I keep on the bottom of the tank. One is even slightly shaded. These are just as meaty as the ones higher up. I found chalices to be the easiest of the hard corals to keep. I also keep the flow moderate. They definitely prefer this over lighter flow.

They are. I love chalice's! One of my favorite came from Eyecathing coral dot com... its a Watermelon Hybrid Chalice. My frag is only 1/2 inch and already showing color. My other favorite is from exoticfrags dot us... its a Rastafari Echino. What kind did you buy?
