Open Brain coral

We have a brain coral that has completely come off of it skeleton but other than that seems to be healthy. We have been fighting with NO3 for months, but this coral actually seem healthy until 3 weeks ago. Now it seems to be two healthy brains with no skeleton. Thoughts?

Too much flow maybe? Do you have him sitting on in incline?

I ask because I had a similar situation with a meat coral. It hung on for several months but eventually "let go" and was no more.

On bottom, low flow. Tank has had major issues over past year, i suspect this is long term health issue. Thought maybe it was splitting.
