A Big congratz on getting your new house.

As someone who has had 3 houses (and built 2) and used to work as an electrician, I will give you this advice:

Make sure to visit your new house at least once a week while it is being built and go through it and any things that are wrong, tell the building foreman ASAP (and throw a fit as needed).

I can tell you that the foreman on my last house was glad when our house was done

That being said, I have had NO issues with my house in the 2 years since it was built (my neighbors can't say the same).
Plus, it was built right and exactly how we wanted it.

Good Luck !!!!
Thanks! Yea, that's good advice. We will probably be going up there pretty often.. but it's like an hour away from where we live now... which makes it hard. But I def want to be there a lot so I can see it being built.

I'm going to take a ton of photos. I'll post some as it comes along

So I was outside in the backyard today with the dogs and I happened to look up at a huge tree we have in the backyard. It's got a big whole/knot just about my eye level. So I happen to look into the void and get quite the surprise!

Thanks! Yea, I'll get one for you as soon as I get my tank back in order. I am battling the FW's, so corals are all over the place due to moving them to siphon, so honestly the tank looks awful right now.

Once I do the FW Exit and get rid of them all, I can place everything back and I will take some photos for you. Oreo is doing great! He's the sweetest thing he doesn't bother anyone and comes out when he's hungry and takes food right from me.

I heart Oreo! heheh

I hope you don't let your war on the FW's don't get you down, just look at it as a learning experience. When you get them all taken care of (which you will) you will be better prepared for them in the future.

I am very sorry this has happened to your tank, but I know you will have it back to being as stunning as it was before I wish you the best of luck NanoGurl

I have just finished reading all 56 pages of your thread. Whew (good thing it was slow at work today) its like a good book you can't put down. I am looking to upgrade from my now defunct 55g to a 75 like yours. Great information in your thread. Thanks for sharing and I will definitely keep following.

Aww thanks! It's okay really, it's not that bad. We could have gotten something much worse. I would be much more sad and upset if something had died. I can deal with this.

=)

Sorry I have not been posting for a few days! I have been so busy. We have been house shopping for the last few days all day and having meetings and such and I've just been really tired by the time we get home.

The good news is we bought a new house! I can't believe we finally have a house. It's been a long wait and a lot of up's and down's but now the fun starts! We are really excited but also really scared at the same time lol.

Looking down the property line.

Really excited
ahhh, another developer that likes to clear cut the land of mature trees, and a city counsel and planning commission that lets them. ugh...

We call them types tree huggas round these parts (thick southern drawl needed)...

What I wouldn't give for a nice clean plot of land and a fresh pour of concrete right about now.
