I came home yesterday to find the angel stuck to the intake of my Tunze. He only lasted another hour. It is really weird because he was eating and swimming around the day before.

I know. I think I am done with getting new fish. I think I have room for more, but I am tired of having problems. Everything I have now gets along and is healthy so I think I will leave well enough alone.

sorry to hear that Gabriel...and i'll bet it wasn't cheap either. Leaving well enough alone is sage advice...I just wish we could follow it!

What a shame. Perhaps it was cyanide-caught?

Maybe. I was told it had been in the store for 2 weeks and I watched it eat before I bought it. And no it wasn't cheap.

Cyanide can take about 2 weeks and this is usually the case with Flame Angels. Since yours was another dwarf angel, it could be the same. They will swim about normally and eat as if all is well, and at two weeks, dead as a doornail.

Thanks Mojo.

I knew better than to but from that store. They have a bad reputation, but they are the only ones who get in big fish like that on a regular basis. Like I said, I am done with getting new fish.

So I just got done redoing my Actinics. Before I just had a 4' NO fluorescent and 2 18" T8s. Today I added 2 6' VHO URI Super Actinics. WOW what a difference! I can't believe I waited so long to upgrade these.

I also got a Koralin calcium reactor from my good buddy John aka TheDude... I need to get a new impeller for the Eheim pump tomorrow and it should be good to go.

Tomorrow afternoon I am hosting the meeting for our club so I am going to have a busy morning getting everything ready. Our meeting is going to be on photography so I am sure I will get some pics tomorrow to share.

Well the meeting went great. We had about 25 people show up. I was able to sell a few frags so it basically covered the chips and drinks I had bought. I have taken a few pics and will post them once I get them from the camera to the computer.

As good as this tank looks in this thread, it's SOOOOOOO much nicer in person. I was privileged to see it at the meeting today, and it has really matured into a nice tank. Congratulations, Gabriel.

p.s. hope you work out that heat issue

Thanks Mike! I am not sure what the deal was with my RK2. For everyone else, the fans didn't come on for some reason today at the normal 80.2. The tank was up to 83.9 when someone pointed it out. I turned on the fans manually and turned off the MH. It dropped back down within a couple hours and I was able to turn the lights back on. Actually the fans just shut-off when the tank reached 80.

Thanks guys!

No my Tangs totally ignore the macro. In the past I had tried to get them to eat other types of macro and they ignored that too. I guess they are just algae snobs and only eat Nori.
