Pinpoint ph tester

Thinking of getting the Pinpoint pH tester. Just wondering how it works, how often it has to be calibrated, and if it can remain on in the tank, or does it take one reading at a time? Bunker

The pinpoint ph meter can be used to monitor the tank continuosly.

anybody know the pros/cons for a ph monitor vs a ph controller? was also wondering about pinpoint. which is better pinpoint or milwaukie? any advice would be great.
