Would duct tape work or would that just push it in more.

vinigar? Does it take the sting away?

I use a pair of pocketknife tweezers and deal with it.

i did think about putting tape over it...but since I know vinager will disolve them and I had some on hand I just used that.

Actually it doesn't hurt. It just looks painful.

Ouch indeed, yeah, I've had that happen to me a few times due to carless rummaging in a rock and rubble tub we had. The vinegar thing definitely works wonders. I actually got stabbed by an Opuntia sp. cactus over the weekend and the pain was similar. Too bad vinegar doesn't work on the cactus spines!

I'm deathly allergic to bee stings. I swell up like crazy with mosquitos. I worry a lot about stuff in my tank stinging me...lol. I have 2 gallons of vinegar in my stand....just in case!!!

Hey check out this thread from TampaBay there's a huge like 3' bristle worm someone keeps in a tank! It's a monster, I bet the spines from that one would hurt!
