I read elsewhere that if the lamp has white tubing then it's an older lamp that gives off a pink hue. If it's got clear tubing, then it's a newer version that should burn very white.

I read in a couple places that there are Chinese made knock-off Lumenarc III's and Mini's out there and that the US made reflectors are better. Any validity to this? I've found Mini's for $105 ea....
