Also check your calcium and Alk levels. Alkalinity should be 7-11 dKH. I had a cyano outbreak a while back and it cleared when I adjusted my alkalinity to the proper levels.

Sorry, I'll be using the 1/4 check valve. It will connect the 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 T to the 1/4 x 3/8 x 3/8 T.

That's a good idea, I spoke with Jim at TGF and explained my goal, he sent me the check valve, the only problem I had was the 3/8 lines. I should have checked the existing system closer.
