I drilled holes around the front and the flow seems to be even stronger and not more dispersed like I had hoped.

Nope he's got a 180 with a lion the size of small dog. Dennis I would test your tap water for calcium levels. The filter system that I use I have no problems with. It's not RO/DI but it works well...

I had a sailfin do the same thing. Nothing seemed to help in my situation. Perhaps I started treatment too late, in any case, he may have a disease which rots the fins until there is nothing left....
