I run a tank with SPS that is lit by a 150W SE halide. That being said, if those first pictures were corals in my tank, I would be buying lights right now. Or moving them closer to the light.

I run a 150 SE Iwasaki 50k on my 40G stretch hex, and I have montipora growing like crazy, clams, and acros. LPS and stuff around the edges does well too.

Lazy Reefkeeper needs more calcium.

I would glue it with the heads facing up, but if it's getting good light and flow you can mount it at an angle. If one side gets less light it may die off though.
