Your best bet would be the Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR. I have worked with the older 105mm AF-D micro lens, and would probably choose it if I couldn't afford the VR version.

Theres a good 1/2" to 3/4" of clearance if the skimmer height is reduced, so I could always shorten it a bit more if thats not enough.

The pic you posted finally showed...so yes, I did...
The pic you posted finally showed...so yes, I did mean that when shaving the collection cup, that I would shave the plastic from the top of the cup and not the neck.
