I never heard about a fish dipping, but for corals Im curently using a kent marine Tech D. All you have to do is closely follow directions. It will help to reduce any unwanted hitchikers.

Do you mean "cyano"? If so, I have a cyano bacteria in my fuge too and thats a normal. I just dont allow it to spread in main tank.

Not sure about epoxy, but clear silicon I, II and III originaly used for doors and windows is safe and great for glass.

For SPS (acros) is recommended about 30-40X flow. You will have to play with the pumps to find the perfect placement to not disturb too much softies and provide a lot of water flow for acros....

You dont need the airate your tank. Water movement is all you need to oxigenize the water. Also as was said before, get rid of canister or any other mechanical filter and get a skimmer. Good luck...
