generally, the rule of thumb that I have heard is 10 to 12 times the size of your tank. so 75g x10 is 750 and 75x12 is 900GPH. Somwhere in there with all of your pumps, powerheads etc...should be sufficient(sp?). Try to make sure there are no "dead spots"

go for SEIO's. They have great flow and hardly uses any electricity. If you are planning on using Maxi-Jets DO NOT get the MJ1200 which pumps 295 gph at 20ish watts, GET the MJ920 which pumps 220 gph at about 8-10 watts. I would go with SEIO's though.

You are seeking how much flow rate? 15-20x or more?

well, I'm not too sure on the flow rate?
I've read that the more the better but then again?!?!

any other suggestions other than Kyles 10-12x tank volume? (this actually sounds good!)

I'll check out the SEIO... thats a brand right?

Not much choices here in Philippines though...

Sea Quest powerheads cost next to nothing here really.. the 1600 would be abt $6.00 usd. (Yes, six dollars)

Thanks guys!

For what its worth, I've read that for a reef tank, 20-30x, and for SPS tanks even more flow is reccomended.

Seios are the way to go when on a budget. We just bout a Seio 2600 for our 150, to bring out flow rate up to about 29x and I couldnt be happier (nor could the corals). I wish it worked on a wavemaker, but oh well. The Seio 2600 is $80, but worth every penny.

I would say it depends on what you have in the tank? Or what you will have in it. For example in my BB sps only tank I have close to 70x hr turnover. But I would not reccomend that for a tank with sand and lps or a fish only set up.
