Thought i would post up some pictures after years of reading reefcentral.
Almost all of the coral were grown from frags.

4x2x2 bare bottom tank, with DSB in sump.
2 x 250W Reeflux 10K
2 X 6200, 2 X 6100 (running at 50% max ;p)
70 kilos of LR
Dual stage Ca Reactor
NSW, thats what we use down here

Running a Reef octopus DNW150 skimmer, but it doesnt pull out a great deal. The fish load is very light.

1 X six line wrasse
1 X blue tang
2 X green chromis
2 X clowns

The green acropora?, that has been passed around the australian reefing community, it is one of the fastest growing corals i have seen! The green weed, i got it a 2inch frag about 18 months ago. Its an awesome colour in real life.

The tubipora musica is much bigger i am thinking of breaking it up into 4 pieces and selling a few.

That duncan colony is so big it looks like an elegance coral. About How many polyps do you have on your colony?

Maybe 150 individual polyps, they have grown into a dense structure due to the high flow.

Also, what's your alk, how often do you change water?

Never used ASW so i cant compare, but have never had any RTN,
slow receding yes for various reasons but not RTN.
Alk is 7 - 10 dKH. (NSW is usually just above 7)
Water changes, usually one large one (40%) every two months.

Filtration is LR, RDSB, skimmer and occasional carbon.

One thing i noticed especially with brown and blue tip acropora after going to BB from DSB, was over a few months it started to fade with the odd white spot of recession and reduced polyp extension.
I increased the food added to the tank, fed a little more than the fish required, and the corals recovered.
I had been paranoid about keeping nutrients low but had been actually starving the tank.
