I have a pep hog in with three wrasses right now (Leopard, Possum, Mystery) only the Possum was in before him. He has paid no attention to any of the wrasses, with no hostility at all.

The only fish my pep hog sometimes chases away is my geometric hawkfish, probably because they are both red / white. Even then he doesn't chase or bite, just kind of turns at him, and the hawk will swim away...

Also had a fairy wrasse (Scott's) in my tank with him for a while and he could have cared less about him as well.

I have heard the pep hogs can be aggressive, especially as they get older, but I have not experienced any of this at all. Have had mine for about a year....

We have had several in the store for months, with no sign of aggression - until yesterday, when one of them ripped into some razorfish that we put in with him and we had to move him.

It is odd because they have showed no sign of aggression with anything else, including fairies, pipes and a range of other quiet fish.

WE put him in with some faires, Pteroleotris hanae and a lined grammica and everyone is happy.

Cheers,
FW
