The stream pump and multi-controller looks familiar. Do you have a link for them?

Thanks for the link. The only thing I don't care for is the suction cup mounts. Time to mod! The bracket looks like very similar to the Seio.

Is there something about DC motors that makes them so large? I'm waiting for one the size of a maxijet...

Looks like a Tunze want-a-be.For that price I'ld pay a couple more dollars for the real thing.

well 239.00 for the xwave. or 354 for a 6100 for the money I will give it a shot. I heard that the tunze controller will work on these as well

Ok my xwave came in today. The pump and the driver box look good. I believe the xwave is a copy of the new 6101. The drive box is alot nicer then the old Tunze seperate driver parts , the xwave is an all in one . I havent had it in water yet sence I just got home from DC . I have compaired it to my old 6100 and this is what I have found so far the impeller and shroud are interchangeable. I cant wait to see what this will do in water. Will post pic later on.

So far I am very suprised with the pump. It does put out a nice flow and it seems to be putting out alot more water then the 6100. I am thinking this is more along the lines of a 6200. The pump also will work with the suregrip 100 magnetics with no mods

Anyone dealt with Pacific Coast CS? Since this is a new line for them, I can possibly see some problems at least in the beginning. Good luck Reeftoker.

As for a smaller version. I found one. It can be modded..... but, I havent got all the bugs out of it yet. The DIY thread will come sometime within reason once I get it true and faithfull. This pump looks awesome for the price. I think I am gonna order a couple. Way to go! Next in line, vortech copy, that is all. =]

I'm curious I heard a rumor that some of the (used to be) higher quality "german" type products were being manufactured in China, Eheim was one at the time, it wasn't too long until knock offs hit the shelves, I wonder if Tunze did the same thing at all, or if this was a straight reverse engineering gig.
