There's a pet store here, and the owner is a friend. She'll order anything for me. And then there are some nice LFS in Salt Lake. Fish4U is my favorite, but there are several. An hour drive is nothing.

Will do, I don't plan on moving any time soon. And Heber has a little better weather also. We've had a freeze this morning, I imagine Park City did too.

I don't drive down to Provo much so no. Fish4 U is on Highland and 4000 S. It's on my way out of town, and that's why I started going there in the first place. The guy who owns it is a real nice too. Remembers me from one time to the next. The Aquarium is a place to go also, Bird World is just out of Bountiful and a few more that I can't remember. You should have no problem finding stuff.

There is a Petco in Park City, I think they carry frozen food there. I've only been there once for bird food.

In your tank presentation, you mention that you clean and treat your filter socks frequently. What are you treating them with?

Thanks Jim. So, the Prime water conditioner is to de-chlorify the sock, right? So you re-use the water in the 5-gal bucket for multiple socks, or do you have to re-make 5 gallons of diluted Prime water? Also, what's the ratio of prime to water in the soak bucket?

Acropora nut, I'm from SLC. Aquatica is a good place for corals. not a bad drive from Park City either. Just head south through heber and then west down Provo Canyon.
Other sources for coarls in Salt Lake are The Aquarium on 90th S and 7th E, Marine Aquatics on 90th S and 400 W, and Ewald's reef and Reef Kingdom; both online stores run locally. They all have nice selections. In Bountiful, there's an Aquatic Dreams and a Bird World. Both have nice livestock, thoug I prefer the Aquatic Dreams.
DC's right though. Fish4U is a little shop, but the owner knows what he's doing.

Thx's Sivert55 for the info on the lfs in the SLC area.....I treat my socks in large numbers..I have about 8-9 socks....I use about 1/4 of bottle of Prime (16.9oz)then add water to the bucket..Water is changed after every process..Hope this helps..Do you ski...And if so where..???

I love the filter socks because you can achieve crystal clear water..You will eliminate almost all your unwanted particles in you water column....This helps with light penetration.....

It's doing fine. I finally placed all my new frags into the tank after waiting a couple of months for the AEFW to die off. Sad because they are all frags again but exciting because I have several things I haven't had before

I haven't tried a test piece. In all my research with people that had successfully treated and were still AEFW free after > 6 months 6 to 7 weeks seemed to be the norm. 25 days was the lowest I found.
