laboutei fairy wrasse question
my male jumped out of the tank. since this happened 1 of my 2 females has become more aggressive towards the other. ive also noticed the colors on her are becoming more vibrant. my question is the aggression and color change due to her possibly turning into a male? or is it some other reason. do they have the ability to change or should i add another male to calm her down?

she is changing. If there was a dominant male in the trio and he died then the next aggressive female will take his place. She is showing the other female that it is "her turn" to become male and to not compete with her.
Is she doing any damage or just chasing? Usually they just act aggressive and the less dominant backs off and then everything is fine when it turns male. If it is ripping fins, or keeping it from eating i would think about adding another male. But IME, it should subside rather quickly once the dominance is established.
