B-Ionic: Add together or separate?

I've been adding, as per the directions, component 1. I then wait for the cloudiness to dissipate, and add component 2.

Does anyone add component 2 (the calcium) in the morning, and then add comp. 1 (alk) at night, similar to Two-Part users?

What is the purpose of adding them at separate times?

It is a two part additive that you are using. I add mine about a half hour apart.

Is there a reason that they should be added apart?

You can dose them a minute apart. Just dose it in front of a powerhead or return line so it quickly mixes with tank water. There isn't any need to dose them hours apart.

I dose calcium, then wait 5 minutes and then dose alk. I use Reef Code A and B.

If you dose them together they will bind to each other, not be absorbed by the water, and where you dumped them in together will start to be covered in calcium deposits. With that said, you only need to wait a minute between dosing each, just dose in a high flow area.
