How to Install a 36" fixture on 48" tank?

besides hanging it from the ceiling. Any idea?

two small pieces of wood at 36" apart, where you can rest the fixture or put the legs on.

Build a simple stand/frame.

Aluminum square stock or even PVC would work.

what would keep the frame/wood from moving?

Something like this, my 60" b4 I bumped to 72".
Just make sure you don't have hot bulbs right on wood.
