RCT Hawaii
I'd like to get one of the rarer pymgy angels out there, and if at all possible I'd like to get it from RCT. I know that they weren't in business because of moving, but does anyone know if/when they'll be back in business? If they will not be back in business within the next few years, can anyone give me any links to places that carry rare angels AND have a good reputation for healthy specimens and good collection methods? Thanks!
Chelsey

RCT is shut down and sold most of its breeding pairs.
Frank might be back at a later stage, maybe Copps who writes here frequently can tell us the status of Frank. Bottom line, you can get a rare Centropyge sp. but you wont be able to get it from RCT. |

Where to get?
You'll have to wait for wild caught ones, need good connection in LA....depends what you're looking for. |

I was just out in Hawaii in October and hung with Frank... one day diving, one day with Rich Pyle and Jack Randall at the Bishop Museum, and one day having beers at his house... He WILL be back in business (as close to 100% as you could say really), but it will not be until next year at the earliest, so you may want to look elsewhere in the short term. He WILL be back though... and with some amazing things I could guarantee... the wheels are in motion... trust me I'm his biggest fan and would not let him not come back Look to either a good LFS, or in the sponsor section here on RC though for wild caught...
One question is what species you are looking for really and what price range... rare is a relative term... Copps

Copps,
Do you know if Frank was able to breed reef safe lemon peels? I noticed on his web site that the lemon peel was a fish he worked with and heard that his tank raised fish were reef safe. Thanks |

For wild caught, occasionally Phishybusiness gets them. Of course, I would not mind having those as well.

Wild resplendens?... they're not legally exported anymore, but once in a while a boat seems to pass by and get some that show up... I'd say wait for Frank on this one... He'll do these again...

There were good sizes wild interruptus in LA last week, dont know if any left.
For resplendens they are difficult, some show up in Japan. Waiting for Frank is out of th question, me flying to Assension have better chances than me buying fish from Frank.... He'd reply his mail about once a year. |
