Attaching PVC to Acrylic

What's the secret to attaching PVC to Acrylic? My plumbing from my overflows comes in via flexible tubing and i'd like to attach it to PVC and attach the PVC to the side of the sump.

I've heard that Weld-On 40 would do it, but I can't seem to find that at the local Home Depot / Lowes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ed

LIQUID NAILS perfect glue 2 worked great for me. I tried it against many other glues and it held the best. You can get it at Ace or Home Depot. Here is a link. http://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Glue-L.../dp/B00092RPGG

I agree with Weld-On 40. Look in your yellow pages for any acrylic or plastic shops. It's likely not something you'll find at a Lowes or Home Depot. You can also order it online if you can't find it local.

BTW, make sure you can do it in a well ventilated area, because it stinks like you can't imagine.

I would not use liquid nails on anything that may contact the water though. I am not sure but I do not think it's potable safe.

The Weld-On #40 is what's been used as long as I could recall for this usage.

This will definitely be touching water from time to time, so Weld-On #40 it is! Thanks to everyone. Hopefully I can get this sump completed now and finally get my tank up and running!
