10 gallon nano
well I've got my lil nano set up, I bought a 10 gallon tank from wal-mart's, I've got an old aquaclear 70 HOB filter I had laying around and I've got a coralife 96watt pc fixture above it, 10lbs of sand and maybe 2lbs of rock in there right now....
I want to get 5-7lbs of rubble rock and build it up from there... I've still got plenty of time for this yet... But I wanna plan ahead... I can seed this tank with stuff from my 72 bowfront... But as far as live stock goes... can I get some suggestions ?? I wanted to do a GBTA with some clowns but not sure what kinda clowns to get, if I do clowns I will keep 2 only no other fish, but if not an anemone tank, they I'd like a couple different small fish... I plan to have some mushrooms in there maybe kenya tree and xenia... Suggestions ? PS: Here's a pic of it so far (running for 4 days now) Last edited by Krazy; 07/20/2006 at 03:42 PM. |

I'd imagine whatever I put in there will grow quick with the wattage per gallon, even with it being power compacts...
Tommorow I will probably pick up some live rock rubble, a blue background and a smaller heater that'll fit better then that spare I had laying around... Do you think the aquaclear 70 provides enough flow alone? Or should I add a power head ( I have 2 maxi jet 1200's laying around, I also have a aquaclear 20 as well)

As far as fish go, I have one scooter blenny, a small clown and a pajama cardinal in my 10g NR. I would recomend scooter blennies even if you have 2 clowns, they are fun to watch. I would recomend some powerheads but a single maxi 1200 might be over kill. I have AC20 filter in my tank now but I hate the darn thing and am in the process of making a DIY wet dry type filter(minus bio balls) with about a 3g overhead sump with random things from around my house. So far its cost about $25(mostly the pump).

I think I'd try the AC20 on the end opposite the AC70 and see how that goes. |

i use an aquaclear 10 on my 5gal, i think the ac20 would be perfect.
anything you put in that tank will grow like a frikn weed with that kind of lighting |
